International Spice, a successful comedy group in Nanjing, is proud to introduce its very first bilingual play, The Willing Take the Bait. The show will take place in Nanjing over the first two weekends in May.

The Willing Take the Bait is a two-part show. The first part focuses on language barriers, cross-cultural challenges, and expat life in Nanjing.

“After seeing the show, my hope is that Westerners can better appreciate why things happen the way they do in a different country”, mentioned Bill Aitchison, the director of the show.

Moreover, the second half of the show is a bittersweet love story between an interracial couple.

“In terms of dating, the play will hopefully help people reflect on cultural differences within a relationship and each person’s different take on life”, said the show’s producer, Violet Chai.

Cast members for The Willing Take the Bait comprise of Alyssa Cokins, Armand Nel, Ivy Zhang, Jack Wang, Napsugar Hegedus, Paul Deichmann and Violet Chai.

The play will be performed live at the Winart Theater in Xinjiekou; @7:45pm on 3rd, 4th & 5th and 10th, 11th & 12th May. Tickets can be purchased at the theatre; ¥150 for adults, ¥80 for students, or via WeChat: https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=2264683406
