A white screen and a movie projector is the memory of many people. There are nearly 10,000 celluloid film copies and more than 10 movie projectors stored in the six warehouses in No.99 Middle Tongyu Road in Haian, Nantong. These old-fashioned stuff are collected by Chen Hua during the past nine years.

The 55-year-old was once a film projectionist. But with the development of the times, celluloid films were gradually phased out. Chen started his collection after he occasionally saw old celluloid being sold on online shopping platform Taobao. He used to have almost 10,000 copies of celluloid films.

In recent years, Chen resumes to his old profession by projecting patriotic films at government institutions, schools, nursing homes and communities for free, in an effort to pass along the culture of celluloid films.
