Deadbeat not repays until kidnapped

A deadbeat was kidnapped by the creditor for two days since he did not repay the money he owed, reporter learned from Funing people’s court on June 16. The three kidnappers were sentenced on the charge of false imprisonment.

Song Jian refused to repay an amount of 15,000 yuan (US$2,400) he owned to Wang Yuming after repeated requests. As a result, Wang forcibly took Song to a factory on Nov 14, 2013 with the help of two accomplices, and called Song’s family to repay the money immediately. After Song’s families paid 20,000 yuan (US$3,200) as requested, they were asked to pay another 10,000 yuan (US$1,600) to cover the food and lodging expenses during the kidnapping.

Song was finally released at 3 pm on Nov 16 after his families did what they were told to do. (Aliases were used for all the people in the news)
