World Heritage City Culture Exhibition in the theme of “Tale of Two Cities” will be held in Nanjing and Edinburgh of Scotland successively from Nov 5, 2013 to May 5, 2014, announced Hamza Yusuf, minister of Scotland’s external affairs and international development in Nanjing on June 25.
The exhibition hosted by Nanjing Museum and Scotland Royal Ancient and Historical Relics Committee will display cultural relics, historical archives, works of art and museum collections of the two cities, study and compare the development course of the culture and architecture of the two famous cultural cities, according to Wu Heng, deputy director of Cultural Exchange Center of Nanjing Museum. “Moreover, it will provide a precious chance to residents of the two cities to share knowledge and understanding of each other’s history,” he added.
The exhibition will be held in the newly-built exhibition hall of Nanjing Museum.
