The police force will be equipped with high-tech gadgets, which will be the most forceful assistant of Nanjing police to direct, monitor, mobilize police force and provide security guard in the upcoming Asia Youth Games (AYG).
In front of the big screen of security command office of AYG, Shu Gang, Deputy Director of Jianye Public Security Bureau, briefed the “Smart city” intelligent monitor system developed by the police to journalist. “We can timely read and master the information of the event such as number of audience in the stands, the traffic outside the stadium, the location of the patrolman, etc.”
There are over 1,500 monitoring cameras in this high-tech system, basically covering important locations, streets and roads, including the match venues and surrounding areas, and living areas of the athletes and officials of AYG.
Apart from normal monitoring functions, these cameras can do intelligent analysis and provide real time monitoring to entrance and exit of the stadium, rest area for athletes, medal storage room and other important locations, which is a great help to the security guard.
Also, AYG security guard will apply GPS positioned walkie-talkies, 3G wireless earphone, and other gadgets, fully tapping into information-based and intelligent technology to enhance the security of AYG.
