Nanjing stabilizes price before AYG

“Before the end of July, all Nanjing hotels above three-star level are required to report their room rates of August to local price department. Prices of food and beverages sold in competition venues shall be controlled. With the cooperation of relevant departments of the AYG Organizing Committee, we require business operators to make price undertaking,” said Liao Deyang, director of Inspection Branch, Nanjing Price Bureau.

To successfully monitor price during AYG, Nanjing Price Bureau will carry out special monitoring and analyses on 33 kinds of staple and non-staple food, and household commodities according to the requirements of the competitions and consumers’ demand. The Bureau will also conduct more monitoring on prices of 15 kinds of beverages and foods sold in and around competition venues, increase the frequency of price collection, and publish the prices via micro blogs and the Internet.
