Russian Circus Festival to kick off in Nanjing

19 professional circus performers from Russia moved into Nanjing Hongshan Zoo on July 2 to prepare for the 2013 Russian Circus Festival to be held in Nanjing.

Among the 19 performers, there are funny clowns, skillful and strong silk rope hanging acrobats, and beautiful and passionate dancers. Two of them are “Outstanding Performers of Russia” with more than 40 years of stage experience.

To adhere to the principle of animal protection, no animal will step on stage in this year’s performance while programs such as clown shows and acrobatics in the air are retained. The 2013 Russian circus festival will begin on Jul 6 and end on Nov 10.
