A hand painted Nanjing love map got popular on weibo recently. This map, one meter long and 50 centimeter wide, is painted by Chen Zhihuan, a girl from Yangzhou.
On the map, romantic scenic spots like Jimingshi Road, Meihua Mountain, Xuanwu Lake and Xinjiekou can be found. Apart from tourist attractions, the map also has pictures of happy lovers and detailed tourist guide to each spot.
Chen Zhihuan, born in Yangzhou, was fond of painting as a young girl. When studying at senior high school, she went to Nanjing following a teacher from Nanjing Arts Institute to learn arts and was successfully admitted by the faculty of traditional Chinese painting of the school.
The idea for this love map was first put forward by Xun Zheng, an out-of-towner in Nanjing. He liked Chen Zhihuan’s style of painting, so invited her to work on the love map which took her near two months to finish.
