This day, 6 November, in 1995, Professor Wang Xuan, Dean of the Peking University Founder Technology College, won the year’s “UNESCO Science Prize”, prompting that organisation to point out that the Chinese computer phototypesetting system developed under the leadership of Wang triggered a technological revolution in the Chinese newspaper and publishing industry.
