Michelle Wie 3rd ambassador for Nanjing YOG

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) declared on Oct 21 (Beijing time) when Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) has just officially passed the 300-day countdown that Michelle Wie, an American golfer, will serve as YOG ambassador, making her the third YOG ambassador after Yelena Isinbayeva, the Russian pole vault player, and Chad Guy Bertrand le Clos, the South African swimming athlete.

The 24-year-old Michelle Wie qualified for PGA championship at the age of 10, becoming the youngest player who had gained such eligibility. Having won the champion of the LPGA matches twice, she is going to share with the first-generation golf players of the YOG her advices and experience, and encourage more young people in the world to take physical exercise.

The golf game will return to the Olympics Games held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 after more than one century. Before this, the golf game will become a competition event in Nanjing Youth Olympic Games in 2014.
