Nanjing Public Transportation (Group) Co Ltd launched 400 zero-emission electric taxies to the market on Dec 12.
The first 12 vehicles for trial run have been delivered to Nanjing. All of them have sky-blue shells, with “zero emission” mark on the engine hood and “96529”, the service hotline, on the body. It is estimated that they will be officially put into operation by the Spring Festival of 2014.
In addition, Nanjing will launch another 400 full electric taxies in 2014. This automobile can be recharged for 2,000 times. After being recharged for one and a half hours, it can run six hours continuously. With a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour, it can cover more than 300 kilometers in a run. It also features smooth running, low noise and big inner space.
