Representatives from various port and shipping enterprises and pilot centers in Nantong as well as the Nantong Maritime Bureau (NMB) made vows and launched initiatives in front of the national flag of China for the upcoming 9th Maritime Day of China at the Supervision and Rescue Comprehensive Base of the NMB on Jul 9.
The day July 11, 2013 is the 608th anniversary of Zheng He’s (a famous mariner and explorer of China) first voyage to the west and also the 9th Maritime Day of China.
All the personnel participating in the activity made vows in front of the national flag of China after the national flag raising ceremony on the morning of the very day. After that, participants signed on the banner printed with the theme of the activity to express their determination and confidence for jointly building the safe navigation areas.
