“Leonardo da Vinci – Il genio a Milano”, “The Vatican Museum 3D”, “Florence and the Uffizi Gallery” and “Teatro alla Scala – The Temple of Wonders” are among the Italian documentary films to be exhibited and shown at the Omnijoi International Cinema in Hexi Central Mall from 7 to 23 July.

The 5 documentary films highlight Italy’s splendid culture and historical heritage, promising to be the feast for art, humanities and history lovers. The pictures in the film are rare and scarce resources; for The Vatican Museum 3D, it was the first time for a film crew equipped with the world’s leading Ultra HD 4K / 3D photography technology to come into the mysterious Vatican Museum of Art and the Sistine Chapel. With unprecedented perspective, it shows the masterpieces of Michelangelo, Raphael, Da Vinci, Caravaggio and others, collected by the Pope over hundreds of years.

Leonardo da Vinci – Il genio a Milano (the Genius in Milan) focuses on his achievements in architecture, painting and mechanical design during his life in Milan. It also shows and explains his representative works, and lets audiences know Milan ‘s artistic and cultural life at the end of the 15th century through the scenes it reproduces.
