Four Jiangsu environmental testing agencies have been ordered to rectify problems that were detected during an investigation, one that was conducted by The Provincial Environmental Protection Department and the Quality Supervision Bureau. The four have been fined ¥10,000 each.

It was reported by Xinhua Daily that the two departments recently carried out special quality inspections of, it is assumed, all of the province’s environmental testing agencies.

After discovering a batch of problems inside agencies, they were ordered to rectify the issues. The agencies concerned include Nanjing Baiyun Environmental Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., Liuhe District Environmental Monitoring Station, Liankai Environmental Testing Technology Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Huajian product testing agency,

While the companies undergo changes to better the quality of their institutions’ inspections, test data or results can be issued to the public.

If they fail to meet the requirements, a repeat fine of up to ¥10,000 can be payable.
