The first train of Nanjing-subway Airport Line started the commissioning test, according to a netizen on Jul 24.
The train for the Airport Line, emerald green in color, has a pair of “large eyes” in the front. The first train of the light-rail Airport Line will be delivered to the Nanjing Subway Co. by the end of August this year according to plan. It is estimated that the Airport Line will begin the trial operation in next May.
The Airport Line will connect the Nanjing South Railway Station to Lukou Airport with eight stations in between. Residents can go to Lukou Airport by taking subway Line 1 to South Railway Station and then transferring to Airport Line for Lukou Airport from May of next year. Alternatively the passengers can take subway Line 3 to South Railway Station and then transfer to Airport Line for Lukou Airport from 2015.
