From tomorrow, 8 October, all those wishing to take the Nanjing Metro shall be required to present the negative result of a nucleic-acid test (NAT) taken within the previous 48 hours.
For seniors, children and others without a smartphone to provide the test result, a signature shall be required to provide affirmation that a test has been taken and that the result was negative.
Such evidence shall be required to be presented upon entry to each and every one of the 193 stations on the Nanjing Metro network.
The requirement, which begins tomorrow and lasts until further notice, is laid out in the Nanjing Municipal Government Notice on the Development of Nucleic Acid Testing (No.22). The Nanjing Metro thanks all passengers for their understanding and support.
