Tens of thousands of spectators flocked on Monday 10th June to Mochouhu Park to enjoy a family day out and to witness the culmination of months of training for the teams participating with a quest to be champions of the Thirteenth Sheraton Kingsley Dragon Boat Challenge.
On this, the first day of “Duanwu Jie” that fell this year on 10th June, a total of 23 companies rose to the challenge that is now one of the biggest dragon boat races in China, among which were both new faces and old hands.
At the end of the day, the Sheraton Kingsley Dragon Boat Challenge cup was raised by ZF Steering Jincheng (Nanjing) with a victorious time of two minutes eighteen point 54 seconds, narrowly beating Bosch Automotive Products (Nanjing) into the runner up’s position while Sheraton Nanjing Kingsley rounded out the top three.
In the 1000 metre Roundabout Race, Changan Mazda were triumphant with ZF Steering Jincheng (Nanjing) and Bosch Automotive Products (Nanjing) coming second and third.
