As one of the world of cycling’s three grand tours, the Giro d’Italia is a very prestigious race. Known in China as “Giro d’Italia; Ride Like a Pro”, the race returns to our neck of the woods on 20 and 21 May.
作为自行车界三大赛事之一，环意自行车赛是一项非常负盛名的赛事。该项赛事在中国被称为“环意意大利；像职业选手一样骑行”，比赛将于 5 月 20 日至 21 日重返我们的赛道。
From its starting point in Shanghai’s Qingpu District, the race’s 88-kilometre-long premier program shall take in Wujiang District of Suzhou in our very own Jiangsu Province, as well as Jiashan County in Zhejiang.
比赛从上海青浦区出发，全长88公里的首站赛段将在江苏省苏州市吴江区和浙江省嘉善县进行。
Participating riders have six programs to choose from; Circuit Race Open, Circuit Race Master, Circuit Race Team Time Trial, Circuit Race Junior, Family Ride, Road Race Av. Speed Below 30 Km/h and Road Race Av. Speed Above 30 Km/h.
参与的骑手有六种项目可供选择；巡回赛公开赛、巡回赛大师赛、巡回赛团体计时赛、巡回赛青少年赛、家庭骑行、公路赛 Av 赛。速度低于 30 公里/小时和公路赛 Av.速度超过 30 公里/小时。
With the event attracting every serous and star rider in China, registration for the race was already full at time of writing, since opening at midday on 4 April. That said, the event is sure to be a lot of fun for spectators too.

That’s because the chosen locale for the race is not without design, taking place in the area designated as the somewhat-cumbersomely named, Yangtze River Delta Green & Integrated Ecological Demonstration Zone.

As Jiangsu Now reports, the Zone is intended to pilot eco-friendly growth that is also a showcase for the now famed Yangtze River Delta Integration. Over that where Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang converge, the Zone takes in an area of approximately 2,300 square kilometres.

Dating back to 1909 in Italy, the pinnacle of cycling in Italy is visiting China for the third time, after its inaugural outing in 2019.
