On this Day in Chinese History; 19 March

This day, 19 March, in 1985, China officially became a member of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property. Believing that intellectual property protection is of great significance in promoting scientific and technological progress, China regards the protection thereof as an important part of its reform and opening up policy, and the construction of a socialist-legal system.
