This day, 2 April, 1999, the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court sentenced Ma Ke and Jiang Tao, the murderers who robbed and killed Zou Jingmeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Honorary Director of the National Meteorological Administration, to death and Han Shulong to life imprisonment.
