On this Day in Chinese History; 22 March

This day, 22 March, 1928, Mao Zedong issued the “3 Major Disciplines and 8 Points for Attention” to the revolutionary army units in Jinggang Shan. As the earliest of Chinese Communist military regulations, the discipline became an important part of the political work of the People’s Red Army, abidance by which made the Army especially popular with the people.
