Free/Cut-Price Admission to Scenic Spots across Jiangsu this CNY

While many are setting out on the move, so too there are those incoming to our very own Jiangsu Province, as well as folks who choose to stay put for CNY. For them, a treat awaits, with many of the top-rated scenic spots offering attractive promotions.

First up Wuxi, where the Lingshan Scenic Area and the Water Margin of the Three Kingdoms Scenic Area will each issue 3,000 tickets for free admission every day between 9 and 17 February. The lottery for tickets is available through the WeChat mini-programs and official accounts for each scenic spot.

Still in Wuxi, tickets for attractions such as Turtle Head Island will be half-price, while 28 other spots, including Chong’an Temple and Donglin Academy, will be open for free.

Whilst in Wuxi, take advantage of free transportation on the Metro! From 9 to 17 February, all metro services, together with regular bus routes in the urban area, will be free for all, with no conditions attached.

Taking us to Suzhou. There, between 10 and 17 February, some 76 scenic spots shall have concessions available, as The Paper has reported. Among them, entry to 14 garden scenic spots, including Tiger Hill and the Humble Administrator’s Garden, shall be half-price. The same applies to the ancient towns of Tongli, Lili and Zhouzhuang, while Wuzhong Taihu Lake Tourist Area will be open completely free of charge.

And if it’s going to be your year, i.e. your Chinese Zodiacal sign is dragon, then the Suzhou (China) Flower and Botanical Garden, Lotus Pond Moonlight Wetland Park and China Feng Menglong Village are all free for you, and only you.

As for public transport in Suzhou, no charges will by and large be levied on all regular bus routes in urban areas.

Up north in Lianyungang, concessions to 11 scenic spots will be available until the end of February. They include Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area, Liandao Scenic Area and Haiyun Tai Mountain Scenic Area, all of which will waive prices on the first ticket purchased.

Finally, to Zhenjiang where the city’s 27 national A-level tourist attractions will be all be open completely free of charge from 10 to 12 February. Meanwhile, all except the Three Mountains Scenic Area, Maoshan Scenic Area and Baohua Mountain National Forest Park shall offer free entry from 13 to 17 February. 

Also in Zhenjiang, Jurong City’s Fure Flower Sea Manor Scenic Area will throw open its gates for free from 10 to 17 February, while Danyang City’s Jiuli Scenic Area will grant free entry only on 10 February and only until 17:00.
