Hidden along the ring road surrounding the Olympic Stadium on the lower level one side of the Olympic Stadium East Line 2 metro station, one might have to go on a bit a of a drive to find La Mona. The Italian restaurant with the British telephone box by the entrance offers a modern dining environment and simply fabulous pizza, fresh out of an impressively large stone oven and able to rival some of the best pizzas in town. Pizza ingredients are as classy as the joint’s decor with a black, white and red colour scheme and numerous items to be found on the “vintage section” of Taobao, reminding of themed cafes and bakeries such as HPC and Man Coffee. More excitingly, the modern interior, self-service, good pizza and big bottles of artsy -looking chili oil are reminiscent of the German invention known as Vapiano, urban Italian fast yet fresh food chain. While the pizzas are very reasonably priced for the cheese fest they are, other items such as pasta and the Pisa Tower Chicken Nuggets are a bit on the pricey side for their portion size. Stick with the pizza and enjoy!

A slightly reduced menu is available for take out within 3km of the stadium.
